Yavapai Lodge

Set among the Pinyon and Juniper trees about 1/2 a mile from the South Rim, Yavapai is the largest lodging at the Grand Canyon. Its proximity to Market Plaza, however, brings comforts such as a laundry facility and post office. It’s an easy walk or drive to the rim and a little more affordable than the accommodations with canyon views, although you will still pay more than this lodge my otherwise garner for the privilege of being so close. Queen double or king single rooms are available with or without air conditioning. As with any popular tourist location, book early or you may not get to book at all.

What's Good and What Could be Improved.
Rooms are reputed to be clean and serviceable. Those who claimed disappointed in what they were paying for seemed not to have researched at all as it is amply clear in reviews and on the booking website what you are getting into here. Parking can be a problem, so plan to spend some time finding a spot.

Who is it Good for?
Yavapai is suited for just about any group. King singles or queen doubles make it easy for singles, pairs or groups to lodge here together.

Amenities: Some rooms have air conditioning, refrigerator and coffee maker, some don’t. Some have ceiling fans and vaulted ceilings to keep you cool. All are within shooting distance of Market Plaza, which makes things like staying clean easier as it has a Laundromat.
