The Grand Hotel

If it’s the comforts of home you’re seeking with a little extra here and there, The Grand Hotel is a good choice. No need to give up your morning Starbucks, there’s some in the lobby. Pool, spa tub and fitness room mean you’re able to get in a warm up work out before hitting the trails at the Grand Canyon or soak out the aches after you’ve finished. The on site western-themed restaurant is open for all three meals and a gift shop makes souvenir shopping easy. Laundry facilities mean you can pack light without having to stay dirty. And meanwhile, you’re still less than two miles from the natural wonder you came to see.

Reputed to be the best of the three-star hotels in the area, (there’s nothing higher offered in the vicinity), The Grand Hotel provides what it advertises. Complaints of chlorine wafting down the hallway seem to be the only real downside, but most get what they expect here.

Who is it Good for?
This hotel is best suited to those needing a little extra comfort. It is, however, a smoke-free facility, so if you’re not able to leave the cigarettes at home, it might be best to look elsewhere.

Amenities: Air conditioning, coffee makers, and pillowtop mattresses are standard issue here. Guestrooms have cable TV with premium channels. Bathrooms feature shower/tub combinations, hair dryers, and complimentary toiletries. Spa pool, indoor pool and fitness center are found on-site along with a restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
